Ethiopian Yirgacheffe

Size: 12 oz / 340 g
Roast Level: Light
Region: Sidamo
Variety: Ethiopian Yirgacheffe
Processing method: washed
Altitude grown: 5,800-6,600ft (1800-2000m)

Situated on a high plateau north of Harrar in the Sidamo region of Ethiopia, the town of Yirgacheffe produces this eponymous coffee. The coffee beans are wet processed and this produces a cup with a tangible winey flavour with a floral aroma, a medium body with an idiosyncratic soft acidity. The dry fragrance of the grounds is sweet with caramel and the aroma from the brewed cup is citrusy and complex with a bittersweet tanginess.
